Happy Monday Saints.
Ecclesiastes 11:4 “HE WHO WATCHES THE WIND, WAITING FOR ALL CONDITIONS TO BE PERFECT, WILL NOT SOW SEED, AND HE WHO LOOKS AT THE CLOUDS WILL NOT REAP A HARVEST.”
If we wait around for PERFECT conditions before we start doing something about our relationships, things will never get better.
Too often, though, it’s not the conditions but our fear that prevents us from doing something. We just use the unfavourable conditions as an excuse for our lack of activity.
Instead of seizing the opportunity to act, we let the wind and the clouds dishearten us. And according to today’s verse, our lack of action will leave us with no harvest to reap.
Some things in life can’t wait for perfect conditions. James 4:14 says, “YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN TOMORROW,” and that our lives are “LIKE VAPOUR.” Here one moment and gone the next.
Fear thrives in inactivity. The key is to start small and not be overwhelmed by how far we’ve got to go.
When it comes to sorting out any family issues – there’s no time like the present.
If you already know what kind of marriage or family you want to have – figure out what type of seeds you need to sow and start sowing.
If you want to be closer, start spending time together. If you want more affection, start hugging. If you want to have more fun, start playing. If you want open communication, start talking. If you want to be more spiritual, start going to church together. If you want forgiveness and reconciliation, start being merciful and kind. If you need and want counseling, seek help.
Whatever you do – don’t sit around waiting for things to change on their own because they never will.
Today’s a great day to start moving things in the right direction. Have a fabulous week Saints.
God bless, and lots’a love,
