Toa Samoa Makes Just One Change to Side that will Take on the Kiwis

Toa Samoa Head Coach Ben Gardiner has made just one change to his side that went down to Australia 38-12 last weekend in Townsville.

Young Tonumaipea of the Melbourne Storm who held the centre spot last weekend will be replaced by his fellow Storm team mate, Marion Seve.

Seve has played 46 matches for Melbourne Storm and will play his 3rd test match against the Kiwis.

Seve will be joined by Penrith Panthers Izack Tago to make up the centre pairing.

Exciting new rookie SSualauvi”Sua” Fa’alogo keeps his fullback position as he looks to continue his red hot form.

Steering the troops around the paddock in the halves are Daejarn Asi and NRL champion Stephen Crichton.

Gordon Chang Kum Tong starts at hooker to completes Samoa’s spine.

State of Origin winger Brian To’o and last weeks try scorer Murray Taulagi secure their starting jerseys on the wing.

The forward pack stays the same as Junior Paulo wears the captain’s armband once again.

The last time the Kiwis and Toa Samoa went head to head was pre-covid in 2017.  It was New Zealand who came away victorious. The Kiwis scored 7 tries to Samoa’s 2 in a 38-8 thrashing six years ago.

This weekends highly anticipated clash is set to kick off at 6pm on Saturday 21st October 2023.
