Three men have been handed fines in the District Court for intentional damage to the motor vehicle of a businessman who had given them his car to fix.
The Court heard that a Skyline Factory manager had given his car to three men who worked for Johnny’s Smash Repairs at Vaitele.
There was an oral agreement between Muliagatele Alofipo, Laki Vaiola and Neemia Junior that payment would be made after the car was repaired.
A dispute arose when according to the three men, the businessman did not hold up his end of the deal to adequately pay them.
The three took matters into their own hands and removed a part of the vehicle which led to the police complaint by the Skyline manager.
Judge Alalatoa Rosella Papalii presiding over the case ordered the three to pay $95 tala to the Court before the matter is recalled on the 4th of October.
