Vodafone continues to give back to the community with its latest promotion of not one, but three vehicles to be given away over the next three months.
All customers have to do to go into the draw is dial *888# and purchase any bundle worth $7 tala or more. Entries are also based on the number of dollars spent. So a $7 tala bundle gets you 7 entries, the $11 tala bundle gets you 11 entries and so forth.
Unlike other lottery-type promotions where customers have had to enter with a fee, the Vodafone car give-away promotion only requires that customers purchase a bundle.
The draw also includes weekly cash prize give-aways. Each week for the next 13 weeks, customers can win 5 prizes of $500, 5 prizes of $200 and 8 for $100 tala.
Vodafone’s Chief Executive Officer Nofoasaefa Satish Sharma says it is Vodafone’s way of giving back to the community.
The telecommunication company has reinvested half a million tala through various promotions and community support since it was rebranded as Vodafone 120 days ago.
This latest promotion, to be held over three months from August to October amounts to $250,000 tala.
Vodaphone’s community projects and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives includes support to organizations such as Samoa Cancer Society, the Samoa Victim Support Group, and the Samoa Red Cross.
Vodafone partnered with NUS to provide students and staff of NUS with free and discounted data access to an agreed list of educational websites.
In April this year, Vodafone announced support of $19 million towards UNESCO’s Global Coalition for Response to COVID-19 to help countries deploy remote learning systems during the state of emergency lockdown.
Vodafone has also invested in sports within Samoa through the Samoa Rugby 7s as well Netball Samoa and Touch Rugby.
