Happy Thursday Saints.
James 1:3 “KNOWING THAT THE TESTING OF YOUR FAITH PRODUCES ENDURANCE.”
Everyone will face adversity in their lifetime. Although our circumstances can be vastly different and the severity of our struggles unique, we all experience hardships, disappointments, and setbacks.
Hebrews 10:36 in the Amplified Bible says, “FOR YOU HAVE NEED OF PATIENT ENDURANCE TO BEAR UP UNDER DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES.”
If you’re going to succeed in fulfilling the will of God for your life, endurance isn’t optional – it’s a NEED.
As you follow God THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH, you will NEED ENDURANCE.
And according to James 1:3, endurance can be developed – it’s a part of your character that can grow. But it doesn’t grow when things are easy, quiet, agreeable, manageable, or pleasant. It isn’t produced when everything is going well. It’s produced during “THE TESTING OF YOUR FAITH.”
Those who expect everything to be smooth and without a challenge become bitterly disappointed when they find themselves in THE VALLEY. And with such a negative attitude – they won’t be able to grow in ENDURANCE and become a stronger person.
The key word in James 1:3 is “KNOWING.” When you KNOW that the tests will help you produce endurance; when you KNOW that the Lord is your Shepherd; when you KNOW that He will guide you through the valley – you will FEAR NO EVIL.
You can be at peace KNOWING that with His ROD AND STAFF, the Lord will protect you and guide you through. Your faith in Him will produce ENDURANCE that will be required to achieve more in life.
Have a great day with the Good Shepherd leading you. With Him, you will eventually reach green pastures and still waters.
God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
