The spiritual blessings that we need are already available to us in Christ

Happy Thursday Saints.

Yesterday, we ended with the thought of getting to know God through reading the Bible and spending time with Him in prayer.

Jesus suffered and died on the cross to “BRING YOU TO GOD.”

Having been justified by our faith in Christ – a lot has changed! And much of what we need in order to live a victorious Christian life has already been given to us through Christ.

Now our journey of spiritual growth and development begins. 1Peter 2:2 says to “DESIRE GOD’S PURE WORD AS NEWBORN BABIES DESIRE MILK. THEN YOU WILL GROW IN YOUR SALVATION.” Or as the NLT puts it, “SO THAT YOU WILL GROW INTO A FULL EXPERIENCE OF SALVATION.”

Those who don’t read and understand the Bible won’t appreciate the FULL EXPERIENCE of their salvation. They won’t know everything that has been made available to them in Christ.

2Peter 1:3 says that “BY HIS DIVINE POWER, GOD HAS GIVEN US EVERYTHING WE NEED FOR LIVING A GODLY LIFE. WE HAVE RECEIVED ALL OF THIS BY COMING TO KNOW HIM.”

Ephesians 1:3 says that God “HAS BLESSED US IN CHRIST WITH EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING IN THE HEAVENS.”

The spiritual blessings that we need are already available to us in Christ. But we cannot access these blessings when we don’t know that they are there for us.

The more we know God and know His will for us as believers, the more we can appropriate His blessings and the more we can live A GODLY LIFE.

If you are a believer, a GODLY LIFE – a life of freedom, a life of peace, a life of love, and a life of victory over sin is possible.

Invite the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to all that is now available to you in Christ. Let Him instruct you as you read the Bible and see what you’ve already been blessed with in the heavens. You will see that there is a lot to be thankful for and plenty to rejoice about.
