The Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG) received a generous donation from young students and teachers of the Vaiola Primary School of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The donation is to support abused chidren at the Campus of Hope shelter facility operated by SVSG.

To close the school semester on a positive note, the School launched the “Mini Mission,” which is an initiative that encouraged every student and teacher to contribute essential items for the children of hope at the Campus.

The project was highly successful, with donations including toiletries, clothing detergent, food items, and more. In addition to the donations, the students also performed a wonderful dance to support the cause.

SVSG’s branch at Tuasivi Savaii, received the donation with gratitude and expressed appreciation for the support of Vaiola Primary School.

“We are incredibly grateful for the generous donation from Vaiola Primary School,” said SVSG’s President, Siliniu Lina Chang.”

“I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Principal of Vaiola Primary School, Brother Taleni Tufuga, and teachers for their efforts to support the Campus of Hope. Thank you also to the parents of the students, whose support and contributions were instrumental in making this donation possible. Most importantly, I acknowledge the sincerity of the initiative by the students. Seeing you all dance with excitement while presenting and loading the donations onto the vehicles encourages us with our work.”

Despite the current economic challenges, the support by this primary school is a testament of God’s love in abundance, for us all.
