The Samoa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has appointed its new Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation in the next three years.
Lita Lui takes over from Chamber’s long-serving CEO Lemauga Hobart Vaai, who resigned to move overseas in late January 2023.
Lita Lui was officially introduced to the Chamber at its March members’ meeting held last week 6th March 2023.

Ms Lui is a former ACEO for the Aid Coordination and Debt Management division within the Ministry of Finance and has served the Government of Samoa for over 19 years.
“Lita’s vast experience in the public service will further foster the Public-Private Partnership,” said Chamber President Seulupe Michelle Macdonald.
“Lita Lui has been running a business in the past few years, and is well versed with private sector issues.”
Ms Lui believes in continuing education and is currently undertaking an online Masters degree on a part time basis.
SCCI acknowledged its outgoing CEO, Lemauga Hobart Vaai for his 12 years of dedicated service to the Chamber and its members.

“We wish him well on his future endeavors”.
The Chamber looks forward to having Lita at the forefront of Samoa’s National Private Sector Organization, to lead and advocate for an enabling business environment for its members and all businesses in Samoa.
