The Gift of Grace to Serve from the Calling we Receive

Ephesians 3:7 “I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of His power.”

Paul never forgot that his ministry was not a position he earned—it was a GIFT OF GRACE.

Once a persecutor of the church, he was transformed by the power of God to become a preacher of the gospel. God’s grace shaped Paul’s character and equipped him for ministry.

The grace to minister isn’t a license to serve without accountability; it’s the power that enables us to live and serve worthily of the calling we’ve received.

God’s calling to ministry is sacred, and His Word gives clear qualifications for those who lead. Yet even when those qualities are present, NO ONE CAN TRULY SERVE APART FROM THE SUSTAINING POWER OF GOD’S GRACE.

Human strength alone cannot carry the weight of spiritual responsibility—only the grace of God can.

Whatever role you hold in God’s kingdom—whether seen or unseen—it’s by God’s grace. We don’t serve to gain His favour; we serve because we already have it. When we serve by God’s grace, not pride, the power of God flows freely through our lives. When we serve with the ability that He gives—HE GETS ALL THE GLORY!

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the grace that saved me and the grace that enables me to serve. Keep my heart humble, my motives pure, and my dependence fixed on You. Help me to serve faithfully and live in a way that honours Your Word and reflects Your character. Let Your grace empower every act of ministry, so that all glory goes to You alone. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Have a great day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
