ONE BODY, ONE SPIRIT
Ephesians 4:4–6 “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
Paul anchors the call to unity in the unshakeable realities of the gospel. Unity isn’t built on personality, culture, background, or preference—it’s built on truth. These verses turn our eyes back to the foundation of our unity: the “oneness” that God Himself has established.
ONE BODY, ONE SPIRIT
We are not many bodies competing—we are one body in Christ. Different parts, different gifts, different backgrounds, but one Spirit gives us life and holds us together. No Christian stands alone; the Spirit has woven us into a single, living organism called the Church.
ONE HOPE
We share the same future.
The same salvation, the same promise, the same eternal inheritance. Our hope isn’t earthly success—it is Christ Himself, who will return for His people.
ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM
Our unity flows from our allegiance to one Lord, Jesus Christ. We share the same faith—the same gospel entrusted to the saints. We publicly declared this allegiance in one baptism, identifying ourselves with the death and resurrection of Christ.
ONE GOD AND FATHER OF ALL
Here is the ultimate anchor: We belong to the same Father. He is sovereign over us, present among us, and working through us—shaping His people into one family.
Unity isn’t something we manufacture. It’s something we honour, protect, and live out because God Himself has made us one.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for calling us into one body and one hope. Help me to live in a way that strengthens the unity You have already created. Keep my heart anchored in Christ, grounded in truth, and overflowing with love for Your people. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Have a great week. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
