FREEDOM FROM THE FEAR OF MAN.
Proverbs 29:25 “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.”
When we fear man and seek their approval more than God’s, we live ensnared and trapped in a life of compromise and sin.
The desire to please people can lead us to silence truth, bend our convictions, or follow the crowd instead of Christ. This fear is a snare—a trap that robs us of freedom and joy.
But those who trust in the Lord find true safety. God’s approval matters far more than man’s opinion, and His love never shifts with the crowd.
Trusting God gives us courage to stand firm, even when others oppose us. As Paul declared, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).
The fear of man enslaves, but the fear of the Lord brings freedom. When our hearts are fixed on Him, we walk confidently, knowing our security is in His hands.
Prayer:
Father, deliver me from the fear of man and the trap of living for approval. Teach me to trust You fully and to stand firm in Your truth. Keep me safe in Your love, and give me boldness to live only for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
