ONE NEW HUMANITY IN CHRIST
Ephesians 2:15b-16 “His purpose was to create in Himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which He put to death their hostility.”
The cross did more than forgive sin—it formed a NEW PEOPLE. In Christ, God didn’t just bring peace between divided groups; He CREATED ONE NEW HUMANITY. The hostility that once separated Jew from Gentile, and person from person, was put to death through His sacrifice.
In this new humanity, there’s no place for racism, pride, or prejudice. The gospel dismantles every wall that divides us—race, culture, class, income, or status. Whether rich or poor, educated or uneducated, powerful or overlooked—
WE ALL STAND ON EQUAL GROUND AT THE FOOT OF THE CROSS.
Jesus didn’t come to make one group better than another; He came to make us ONE BODY. That means we must lay aside every attitude of superiority or exclusion and embrace one another in humility and love. In Christ, unity isn’t optional—IT’S OUR IDENTITY.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for creating one new humanity through the cross. Teach me to lay aside pride and prejudice, and to see every person as a brother or sister whom You have redeemed. Let Your love destroy every barrier in my heart, and help me live as part of Your one united body. In Your name, I pray. Amen.
Have a great week. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
