Taula, the first and only 100% locally owned brewery in Samoa, has joined hands with the Samoa College Old Pupils Association (SCOPA) as they gear up for the the school’s 70 Years Anniversary celebrations, set to begin next week.
The 5-day event kicks off on Monday 11 December, with an early morning parade down Beach Road in Apia towards the Government Building for the flag-raising, a prayer service and welcoming ava ceremony.
The week-long celebration includes a sports day, a golf tournament and the much anticipated Samoa College 70th Anniversary Ball, expected to be attended by at least 1000 Samoa College alumni.
It’s not the first time Taula has shown support for Samoa College.
SCOPA rep, Fuimaono Alex Wright, reminded everyone that Taula also partnered with SCOPA to celebrate the school’s 60th anniversary celebrations in 2013.
Fuimaono thanked Taula Beverages Co Ltd for their continued support.
“We are humbled and thankful for the support you have shown towards our (Samoa College Old Pupil’s) Association.”
Taula rep, Mulitalo Amosa Tupai, acknowledged that Samoa College has played a huge role in nurturing and educating the young minds of the country throughout its 70 years, and continues to show the importance of education and service in the community.
He added, “Taula is of Samoa, which means that Taula must 100% support the people of Samoa”
