Matthew 12:34 “FOR THE MOUTH SPEAKS WHAT THE HEART IS FULL OF.”
If you want to know the true condition of your heart, just check your mouth.
If your heart is full of kindness and compassion for others, it will be revealed through your mouth. If your heart is full of bitterness and resentment, it will be reflected in the way you speak.
If you don’t like what your mouth reveals about you, change your heart.
Proverbs 4:23 says to “GUARD YOUR HEART MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE, BECAUSE THE SOURCE OF YOUR LIFE FLOWS FROM IT.”
As the guardian of your heart, you determine what you allow inside it.
You have the power to keep negative, destructive and toxic thoughts out. And you have the power to let loving, kind and uplifting thoughts in.
Everything flows from what your heart is full of and when you take the time to fill your heart with all kinds of goodness – you and countless others will be blessed by the goodness that overflows out of your mouth.
Don’t let the disappointments of the past fill the hallways of your heart and cast a dark shadow over 2021.
Start filling your heart with all that is good, pure, loving, compassionate and honourable today. In time, your heart will be a wellspring of hope for you and everyone else in your life.
