Proverbs 31:3 “Do not spend your strength on women, your vigour on those who ruin kings.”
King Lemuel’s mother warned him about one of the greatest dangers to a leader—giving his heart and energy to relationships that would pull him away from God. She knew that purity and self-control aren’t just private matters; they affect our witness, our strength, and even our legacy.
What we give ourselves to will shape who we become. If we waste our energy on what weakens our faith, we will have little left for what strengthens it. But when we give our hearts fully to the Lord, He sustains us and keeps us strong.
The warning is clear: don’t let passions or desires take you where your calling can’t survive. Instead, walk in purity before God, for He is the One who has set you apart for His purposes.
Prayer:
Father, help me guard my heart and walk in purity. Give me wisdom to turn away from anything that would weaken my faith or compromise my witness. Strengthen me to use my life for Your glory alone. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Have a fabulous day. God bless, and lots’a love,
Warren
