Happy Tuesday Saints.
Proverbs 5:12-13 “HOW I HAVE HATED INSTRUCTION, AND MY HEART DESPISED CORRECTION! I HAVE NOT OBEYED THE VOICE OF MY TEACHERS, NOR INCLINED MY EAR TO THOSE WHO INSTRUCTED ME.”
One of the initial signs of someone getting off track with God’s plan for their lives is isolation.
They stay away from those who might say anything contrary to what they want to do or that’s the opposite of how they want to be.
They don’t want to be CORRECTED, so they ignore those who are in authority and stay away from those that God has placed in their lives to INSTRUCT them.
When we separate ourselves from our teachers, instructors, pastors, parents, or leaders, we justify our isolation and make excuses for ourselves as to why we need to stay away from those who might question our behaviour.
Separating yourself is easy and comfortable. You don’t have to be accountable to anyone and you don’t have to explain yourself to others. You don’t have to face the discomfort of correction or the pain of instruction.
Hebrews 12:11 says that “NO DISCIPLINE SEEMS PLEASANT AT THE TIME, BUT PAINFUL. LATER ON HOWEVER, IT PRODUCES A HARVEST OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND PEACE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN TRAINED BY IT.”
Don’t isolate yourself from those that God has placed in your life to help mature you.
The discomfort of correction and instruction will LATER ON, produce a HARVEST OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND PEACE that will greatly bless your life.
We are created and designed to connect with other believers for our maturity and fruitfulness.
Have a great day and stay connected. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
