Many people have foolish things that they need to leave behind and give up on. Too many put up with destructive behaviours and harmful habits that they are unwilling to stop. And unless we leave foolishness behind, we will never move forward with the rest of our lives.
No one, no matter how skilled they are, can walk in two different directions at the same time. The moment you walk in one direction, you cease heading in the other.
Whenever someone is double-minded about what they want and where they are heading, they wander around in circles, destined to repeat the mistakes of the past.
Hebrews 12:1 says to “THROW OFF EVERYTHING THAT HINDERS AND THE SIN THAT SO EASILY ENTANGLES. AND LET US RUN WITH PERSEVERANCE THE RACE MARKED OUT FOR US.”
You know exactly what you need to do to move forward. And you also know exactly what you have to give up in order to take things to the next level.
Today is a good day to give up foolishness and start taking steps that you know will benefit your future.
Ask the Lord to help you throw off everything that’s hindering your success. Start running on the path that you know will enable you to accomplish great things.
