Standing Firm for What is Right

God calls His people to be salt and light in the world—preserving truth and shining in the darkness. When we give way to wickedness, we make room for injustice to grow. When we stand firm in righteousness, we push back against the tide of evil.

Proverbs 25:26 “Like a muddied spring or a polluted well are the righteous who give way to the wicked.”

Clean water refreshes, restores, and gives life. But when that water is muddied or polluted, it loses its purity and can even cause harm. Today’s proverb warns us that when those who are righteous compromise or remain silent in the face of evil, their witness becomes clouded. Instead of bringing life and clarity, they allow corruption to spread unchecked.

Standing for what is right isn’t always comfortable. It can cost us relationships, opportunities, and even safety. But God calls His people to be salt and light in the world—preserving truth and shining in the darkness. When we give way to wickedness, we make room for injustice to grow. When we stand firm in righteousness, we push back against the tide of evil.

In our homes, workplaces, communities, churches, and nations, we must be people of courage—speaking truth in love, confronting wrongdoing, and defending the vulnerable. God’s standard of righteousness is worth upholding, even when the cost is high.

Prayer:
Father, give me the courage to stand for truth and righteousness, even when it’s difficult or unpopular. Keep my heart pure and my witness clear. Use my life to resist evil and to point others toward Your truth, justice, and goodness. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Have a great day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
