Vodafone’s M-Tala has partnered with Samoa National Provident Fund to allow for a safer, more convenient and user-friendly option for SNPF clients and senior citizens.
The partnership willl allow SNPF senior citizens to receive their monthly pensions direclty into their mobile phones with M-Tala.
In a press statement, Vodafone Samoa highlights the links to financial inclusion that this partnership aims to bring.
“This partnership is such a pivotal step in Samoa’s goal towards financial inclusion where an everyday Samoan is able to access finacial services directly on their mobile phone,” said Acting Vodafone CEO Rana Bose.
“Furthermore, this partnership will also give all SNPF clients access to make voluntary payments to their contributions and loans, directly from their mobile phones, taking away the trouble of having to travel to and from the city to make payments.”
Vodafone’s Acting CEO expressed his appreciation of the support from Pauli Prince Suhren and the SNPF team for the support in making this option available.
The new initiative will: also allow all SNPF clients to make repayments towards their loans e.g., Small Loans, Short term Loans & Investment Loans.
ALL NPF Employees and Employers can make voluntary payments towards their contributions. and pay loans at any time.
SNPF CEO Pauli Prince Suhren said the iniative is aligned to the organisation’s digital tranformation goals.
“In the end, it is about utlising available technology to ease and simplify our interaction with our members,” said the government owned SNPF CEO.

Step 3: Select Option for payment:
• Small Loan Repayment
• Short Term Loan Repayment
• Investment Loan Repayment
• Voluntary Payment
• Employer Payment
As an introductory offer all repayments via M-Tala to NPF are free.
