Seek God First and You don’t have to Worry about Anything

Happy Thursday Saints.

What are you worried about?

In Matthew 6:27, Jesus said, “WHO OF YOU BY WORRYING CAN ADD A SINGLE HOUR TO HIS LIFE?” He went on to say in verse 31, “THEREFORE DO NOT WORRY SAYING ‘WHAT SHALL WE EAT?’ OR ‘WHAT SHALL WE DRINK?’ OR ‘WHAT SHALL WE WEAR?'”

Instead of worrying, He said in verse 33, “BUT SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND ALL THESE THINGS WILL BE ADDED TO YOU.”

The things that worry you control you. They control your emotions, how you spend your time, and what you give your strength to. What worries you, steers your direction.

This is very different from being led by God. He doesn’t want us to be led by our worries, fears, anxieties, or circumstances. Romans 8:14 says that “THOSE WHO ARE LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD.”

Worry is not faith. Worry is not trusting God. Worry has more faith in the situation, more faith in the problem, more faith in the difficulty and more faith in things getting worse. It is the complete opposite of faith in God.

God doesn’t want you to be mastered by anything other than Him. He loves you unconditionally, and He cares about your life and future. He knows what worry can do to you and how it can worsen things.

So Jesus says to “SEEK” God first. Let Him be your Master, and He will give you what you need. His peace will “GUARD YOUR HEART AND MIND,” and you don’t have to worry about anything.

If your worries have been mastering you lately, cast “ALL YOUR CARES” upon the Lord and live untroubled.

Have a lighthearted, cool, and carefree day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
