You Must Enjoy the Journey and not Just the Destination

Happy Wednesday Saints.

Matthew 6:33 “BUT SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED TO YOU.”

Yesterday, we ended with the thought of enjoying the process and appreciating the journey. If you don’t learn to see the good side of all the required work, you’ll eventually despise what you’re doing. And whatever you despise, you cannot maintain for very long.

Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr, the fittest woman on earth, recently posted a reel on Instagram with a voice-over that stated, “The man who loves walking will walk further than the man who loves the destination.”

When you learn to love and embrace the journey, the results will come. All the effort will eventually pay off. But those who want instant results will be frustrated with all the work, and they’ll be resentful and disheartened along the way.

Those who love only the destination will find it extremely difficult to walk long journeys. They’ll struggle with objectives that take YEARS to accomplish. But those who love the walk will enjoy the journey. Those who love the work won’t waste any time worrying about how long the journey will take – the joy that they receive from DOING WHAT IS NECESSARY will eventually produce results anyway.

Whatever you need to do in order to achieve your goals and fulfil your destiny – EMBRACE THE NECESSARY.

Similarly, when you learn to enjoy SEEKING the kingdom of God and His righteousness FIRST, you won’t have to be anxious about how or when ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED TO YOU.

Your joy will be in the seeking. As you DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD, He will give you the desires of your heart. And because you love the pursuit and the God you are pursuing, you won’t care how long it will take for things to be ADDED TO YOU.

Embrace the journey, love the walk and be free of any frustrations or anxieties.

Have an O for Awesome day. God bless and lots’a love,

Warren
