Wednesday 10 November 2021, Apia Samoa. Police carried out a search for narcotics at Samalaeulu Savaii and discovered a marijuana plantation.

A total of 1,152 marijuana plants were seized together with 3 weapons found on site.

Two men aged 35 and 23 years were arrested by police and remain in custody to await court appearance.

Both men from Samalaeulu, Savaii have been chargedĀ  possession and cultivation of narcotics.

SPPCS acknowledges members of the public for their ongoing support by reporting illegal activities to the police.

Police say this ongoing support from the public will continue to assist their efforts in keeping Samoa free of illicit drugs.
