18 Juky 2019, Pacific Games Apia Samoa. Kelvin Tuʻiala Masoe from the Big Island of Savaii has won Gold for the long jump at the Pacific Games athletics.
Kelvin competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the men’s 100m and the men’s 200 m sprint events.
He attended school at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Vaiola College in Savaii.
Kevin has a bronze medal for the 100m sprint having come in third place behind Fiji’s Banuve Tabakaucoro and Samoa’s Jeremy Dodson in the finals.
Banuve had also set a new Pacific Games record of 10.31.
Today Dodson came in second in the 200m final to take the Silver while Banuve secured Gold.
Kelvin and Dodson will be trying to secure a Gold medal for Samoa in the much anticipated 4 x 100m men’s final tomorrow at Apia Park Stadium.
