15 July 2021, Mulinuu Apia Samoa. Samoa’s vaccination porgramme continues with over 54,000 first doses and 12,668 fully vaccinated not including those who were vaccinated today.

The Ministry of Health reports there are now over 10% fully vaccinated, with 1,262 of those from yesterday alone.
A further 469 received their first shot of the COVID19 vaccine yesterday.
Samoa received 10,000 doses of AstraZeneca from Australia last week and the government of Japan have also stepped in to provide 100,000 vaccines to Samoa as part of their wider assistance to the Pacific region.

The Caretaker Prime Minister announced the assistance from Japan during a media program earlier this week, including a further 27,000 vaccines from the COVAC facility. He assured that there are enough vaccines for all of Samoa’s 121,891 eligible population.
