Samoa Police Raid: 5,000 Marijuana Plants and Five Arrests

24th August, 2023, The Samoa Police have seized 5,000 marijuana plants and made five arrests in a drug raid at Faleatiu.

Marijuana seeds and unregistered firearms were also found.

A press release states, a search warrant at Faleatiu following concerns raised by the village regarding ongoing issues involving narcotics.

“The search was successful and resulted in the seizure of 5,000 marijuana plants, marijuana seeds, unregistered firearms, and the arrest of five suspects.”

Police estimate the street value of the plants seized to be worth $250,000 talā.

“The SPPCS will continue to combat drug-related activities in Samoa, as their use can have severe medical and criminal consequences.”
