03 September 2019 Apia Samoa. The Government of Samoa through the Samoa National Provident Fund is hosting the 2nd Pacific Island Investment Forum (PIIF) this week.
The PIIF is an annual Forum that brings together the Chief Executive Officers from all compulsory superannuation funds across the Pacific. The forum will discuss a number of issues in regards to infrastructure development in the region. The World Bank/IFC will also be giving presentations during the meeting.
The Forum is an opportunity for the CEOs to hold its high level talks, review the direction and objectives of the Forum, hold the Annual General Meeting, and appoint the new Chairman of the Board, who will also host the next CEO Forum.
The host for the 2019 PIIF CEO Forum and incoming Chairman of the PIIF is Pauli Prince Suhren, CEO of the Samoa National Provident Fund.
The Forum is from 3 – 5 September 2019 and will include the Members Annual General Meeting, delivery of the Training and Education plans for the next year, Regional Co-Investment initiatives, implementation of the Cook Islands resolutions, and collaboration with International Partners.
