Samoa Covid Update: 107 Cases in Two Days

Apia, Samoa Situational Report on COVID-19  The Ministry of Health confirmed 107 positive cases were reported in two days of 09th of June to 11th of June 2022.

“Of these, 106 are community cases and one (1) case detected at the border. This brings the total number of cases (community and border) to 14,422.”

There are eight (8) patients currently in managed isolation and none at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Moto’otua hospital.

There are no new COVID-19 related deaths reported in the last two days, the number of deaths toll remains at 28.

Vaccinations are available at all District Hospitals around the country for people to get vaccinated and / or complete their recommended doses including boosters, urgently for protection.

The public is reminded to continue to wear facial masks, maintain social distance in public places, wash hands to maintain good personal hygiene to contain the spread of the virus and prevent new infections.
