Samoa Chamber of Commerce Welcomes New President and Executive Council Members


The Samoa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) welcomed its new President and several new members to its Executive Council following its Annual General Meeting on Monday 6th May 2023 held at the Lava Hotel, Sogi.

The meeting was chaired by outgoing SCCI President, Seulupe Michelle Macdonald whose three year term has come to an end.

Skyeye Samoa Managing Director and CEO, Faasootauloa Sam Saili, who previously held the Vice President role to Seulupe, will lead the national private sector organisation for the coming year.

He will be supported by Vice President, Tagaloa Nadia Meredith-Hunt of KVA Consult, who had held the position of Executive Secretary.

Anish Chandra of Vodafone Samoa as Treasurer and Nuulopa Hill of Maali Company is the newly elected Secretary.

Elected Executive Council Members include the President of Samoa’s Law Society, Alex Su’a of Stowers & Su’a Lawyers, Alo Kolone Vaai of Vaisala Hotel who is also the Deputy Chair of the Samoa Business Hub, and Teuila Eteuati of Pacific Forum Line.

The Private Sector Organisation Representatives remain as Fiaailetoa Charlotte Chan Mow-Brunt of the Samoa Hotel Association, Maria Lamositele of BOSA from Savaii and Funefeai Oliva Vaai continuing as the rep for WIBDI (Women in Business Development Incorporated).

SAME is represented by its President, Taulapapa Maria Leota.

The Immediate Past Presidents who will continue for institutional memory and support are Seulupe Michelle Macdonald, Masoe Norman Wetzell and Tuala Leaega Pat Leota.

Seulupe Michelle Macdonald extended her gratitude to members for their support during her tenure as President of the Samoa Chamber of Commerce. Seulupe will remain on the Executive Council of 2024 as the immediate Past President.
