Happy Tuesday Saints.
Yesterday, we saw that God ‘HAS MADE US ACCEPTED IN THE BELOVED.’
We don’t have to strive for God’s acceptance because we’ve been redeemed through Jesus’ precious blood, and we’ve been forgiven of ALL our sins.
2Corinthians 1:22 says that God “HAS SEALED US AND GIVEN US THE SPIRIT IN OUR HEARTS AS A GUARANTEE.”
The Amplified Bible says that “HE HAS APPROPRIATED US AND CERTIFIED US AS HIS.”
The Holy Spirit’s indwelling presence within you is a GUARANTEE of God’s acceptance. He is God’s stamp of approval upon you, certifying that you are His.
When you know that you are unconditionally loved and accepted by God, you can overcome any opposition to your divine destiny and any scepticism of your new identity in Christ or of your status as a child of God.
You belong to God. Romans 8:16 says that “THE SPIRIT HIMSELF TESTIFIES TOGETHER WITH OUR SPIRIT THAT WE ARE GOD’S CHILDREN.”
You can say with complete assurance and without any hesitancy that you are a child of God. Because of all that Jesus did, and with the seal of the Holy Spirit – you don’t have to doubt your salvation, your adoption as a child of God, or your acceptance by the Father.
You can stop trying to gain from others what you’ve already received from God. As you rest and take comfort in His acceptance, you’ll be free to love others whether they accept you or not. You can be free from the burden of trying to gain people’s approval.
