Remember that You are Only Human will Make You Less Judgemental and More Compassionate

Happy Friday Saints.

Galatians 6:1b “BUT WATCH YOURSELVES OR YOU ALSO MAY BE TEMPTED.”

Believers who LIVE BY THE SPIRIT and endeavour to RESTORE others who are CAUGHT IN SIN, must WATCH themselves and be careful in case they fall into TEMPTATION too.

When you are restoring another believer who is caught in sin, you need to be attentive to what’s going on inside your own heart. The Bible says to, “WATCH YOURSELVES.” It’s yet another reminder that we are only human.

Consider your own shortcomings and flaws, and remember that you can be susceptible to temptation too. This should help you empathise with those that you may try to RESTORE. Remembering that you are only human will make you less judgemental and more compassionate.

What would you do if YOU were the one caught in sin? How would you want to be dealt with? How would you want to be treated? Would you like to be condemned or gently RESTORED?

If we don’t consider our own frailty and harshly judge others, we will lack the humility and gentleness that are required to RESTORE others successfully.

And because we are only human, we must all be careful in case we are tempted to commit the same sins that we are trying to help others overcome. We need to be prayerful, watchful, and self-aware while we are RESTORING others.

You need to make sure that you are LIVING BY THE SPIRIT, staying close to God, are aware of your own vulnerabilities, and that you are spiritually strong enough to resist temptation – before you seek to RESTORE others.

Restoring others is a noble task, but you must be CLOSE TO GOD to do it successfully.

Continue walking in the Spirit, and be blessed. Have a wonderful weekend. God bless, and lots’a love,
Warren
