The New Living Translation of Romans 12:12 says “REJOICE IN OUR CONFIDENT HOPE, BE PATIENT IN TROUBLE, AND KEEP ON PRAYING.”
Happy Tuesday Saints.
As we saw yesterday, being hard pressed on every side, isn’t the end of the world. But it can seem like it is when we lose our focus.
Troubles don’t last forever and today’s verse tells us to “BE PATIENT” while we are going through them.
We can rejoice and be patient in trouble because our confidence and our hope are in the Lord.
In 2 Corinthians 4:8, the Apostle Paul wrote about being “PERPLEXED, BUT NOT IN DESPAIR.”
When someone is perplexed, it means they are unsure, and they don’t know what’s going on.
There are times when we are faced with trouble, that we don’t know what’s going on, or we don’t know what the Lord is up to.
You can be perplexed and unsure about what’s going on, but that doesn’t mean that you have to despair. Stressing over your situation will never improve or solve anything.
Replace despair with hope. Psalm 33:20 says to “WAIT IN HOPE FOR THE LORD, HE IS OUR HELP AND OUR SHIELD.”
When you don’t know what’s going on, or what the future holds, wait patiently for the One who does. Place your trust and your hope in God. He will never let you down.
Keep on praying and casting your cares upon the Lord. He is your help.
Don’t let the uncertainty of some situations weigh you down with anxiety. “IF GOD IS FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US?” (Romans 8:31)
Have a great day. God bless and lots’a love, Warren
