PUBLIC NOTICE
The Public is hereby informed that it is illegal to start a development including the construction of a building or structure on any land (customary, freehold or public) without first obtaining:
(a) a Development Consent in accordance with the Planning and Urban Management Act 2004; and/or
(b) a Building Permit in accordance with the Ministry of Works Act 2002.
You must have in your possession a valid Development Consent and/or Building Permit before you can commence a development including the construction of a building or structure.
Any person found to be in breach of these requirements, will be penalized with a heavy monetary fine. The Ministry will take all necessary measures to strengthen compliance with these legal requirements to ensure the safety of
all developments and buildings.
