I hope you’ve had a good Christmas break with your loved ones celebrating the birth of Christ.
Jesus’ birth was the beginning of a great and miraculous life as God took on human form with the sole purpose of saving mankind.
But before Jesus could fulfil His destiny on earth, He had to prepare Himself. Luke 2:52 tells us that “JESUS INCREASED IN WISDOM AND IN STATURE AND IN FAVOR WITH GOD AND MAN.”
The Greek word translated as ‘increased’ is ‘prokopto.’ It means ‘to beat forward; to lengthen out by hammering like a blacksmith forges metal.’
Jesus ‘INCREASED.’ It took 30 years to shape and forge Himself into the man His Father required Him to be.
Jesus’ life, death and resurrection made it possible for us to be saved, live an abundant life, and reach our full potential too.
None of us are born ready for our destiny or fully equipped to fulfil the will of God for our lives. We all need to develop Christ-like character.
Our lives and character must be shaped into the people God created us to be. Get ready for 2022. With God’s help and guidance, He can shape you and prepare you so that you’ll become who you need to be in order to serve the will of God.
