21 July 2020, Apia Samoa. The Samoa Police Service have taken to social media seeking information about a hit and run that killed a man riding on his bicycle near the Lalovaea bridge at around 9pm last Saturday night 18 July 2020.
Police say witnesses described a white Toyota Hilux racing another vehicle on the double-lane of Vaitele Street, heading eastward towards Malifa. Police say that drivers of both vehicles failed to stop and offer assistance, and the 24 year old man died at the scene from injuries sustained by the impact.
“SPS requests the assistance of the public with regards to any information that may lead to the identification of the vehicles or those involved”.
