Samoa police have detained 14 men and 4 women found at a Malifa home during a drug bust on Friday afternoon.
Speaking to the media outside police headquarters on Friday afternoon, Police Commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo said guns, methamphetamine, cash and electronics were confiscated during the raid.
Aupaau says the 18 suspects detained all happened to be at the location of the raid, however, they may not all be charged in relation to the raid.
“Police will continue its investigations and determine the relevant charges to be laid,” said Auapaau. “They may not all be facing charges.”
A few of the 18 suspects detained were arrested during earlier police raids, and are currently on bail awaiting court dates.
Police Commissioner Auapaau says a media update will be forwarded once more information on the charges becomes available.
