An 18 year old girl found unconscious at a Fuluasou culvert near Tuanaimato on Monday morning is recovering well.
Police Commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo confirms the teenager was found by members of the public walking past the overpass to the culvert, and noticed her lying unconscious.
“They called 911 for help and FESA first responders acted swiftly and rushed her to Motootua hospital, said the Auapaau.

The Commissioner said police investigations continue, however, preliminary findings point to a suspected suicide.
Aupaau said the girl’s mother told investigating officers at the hospital that her daughter had a history of asthma.
“She also told Officers that there had been some “family issues” at home.”
“The teenager resonded well to medical treatment and has been released from the hospital,” said Auapaau, “however, our investigation continues.”
The Police Commissioner says the 18 year old has also been referred to Counseling and interviews with SVSG Counsellors to ensure there are no other criminal activities affecting her.
