Samoa Police say all Police Clearance Reports will be checked against traffic offenses from June 2025 forward.
In a press statement issued on Saturday 24 May 2025, police note a continuous increase in offenses such as driving without a license and unlicensed vehicles, as well as driving offenses such as not adhering to seat belt and use of telephones while driving.
“Therefore a Police Clearance Report will not be issued until the applicant clears his/her traffic fines with the Traffic Offenses Unit.”
The Police press release does not indicate how much in traffic fines, is outstanding in Samoa.
