18 October 2025, Auckland New Zealand. Thw Prime Minister of Samoa Hon Laaulialemalietoa Polataivao Leuatea Fosi Schmidt Best has sent his best wishes for the Toa Samoa and Fetu Samoa Rugby League Teams ahead of their rugby matches this weekend for the Pacific Championships Cup.
To our Mighty Toa Samoa and Fetu Samoa,
As you prepare to take the field, know that the prayers, hopes, and pride of the entire nation stand with you.
From the villages and churches of Samoa to the hearts of our people around the world we are united behind you.
You carry the legacy of our ancestors, the spirit of warriors who never retreated, who stood strong for Faith, Family, and country.
Like Nafanua, whose courage and leadership turned the tides for her people, may you play not only with strength, but with wisdom, unity, and purpose.
Every tackle you make, every try you chase, every hymn you sing before battle it reminds the world who we are: a small island with a mighty heart.
Play with pride, play with humility, and play for all of Samoa.
la outou taalo faatausala, la outou taalo foi ma le tapuaiga a o tatou Aiga ma le Atunuu,
Alo ia i outou faiva manaia.
la manuia tou ta’aloga, Toa Samoa ma le Fetu Samoa!
Stand tall, fight hard, and let your light shine.
Yours sincerely
Hon. Laaulialemaietoa Polataivao Leauatea Fosi Schmidt
PRIME MINISTER
