Place Your Faith in a Perfect God

Happy Monday Saints.

Nehemiah 8:10 says that “THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH.”

The Hebrew word for “strength” in the above passage means “a place of safety and protection; a strong refuge.”

God’s joy isn’t just an emotion, even though you can feel joyful – it’s a place of faith. It’s a deep-seeded confidence that is placed in God who protects you and keeps you safe from harm.

And in this case, safe from the havoc that can be caused by hopelessness and despair.

If you don’t take refuge in the Lord, they will destroy your confidence and faith in God.

The word “refuge” is defined as a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble.

When you take refuge in Him, His own peace and joy become your strength.

This isn’t a joy that is based on perfect circumstances, it’s a joy that comes from placing your faith in a perfect God.

Where do you take refuge in your time of need? If you lack the strength to face your challenges head-on, then you’re taking refuge in the wrong place.

Get under God’s safety and protection, and let His strong place of refuge give you the joy and confidence to overcome whatever comes your way.

Have an awesome week in Him and be strong!

God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
