When you think of being MORE THAN A CONQUEROR, you don’t think of “love” as the fundamental force that undergirds it.
And yet, according to Romans 8:37, “WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM WHO LOVED US.”
1John 4:18 tells us that “PERFECT LOVE DRIVES OUT FEAR.” No matter what we face in life – we have nothing to fear because God’s love can’t be stripped away from us.
We might lose everything, and yet, because of God’s love, we still have all that we need. We might be in a dreadful situation, but because of God’s love, be full of hope. People might desert us, but because of God’s love, we will never be alone.
Romans 8:35-36 asks, “WHO SHALL SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF CHRIST? SHALL TROUBLE OR HARDSHIP OR PERSECUTION OR FAMINE OR NAKEDNESS OR DANGER OR SWORD?”
No, we can conquer all of the above because they can’t separate us from God’s love. In trouble, God is with us. In hardship, God is with us. In persecution, God is with us. In famine, God is with us. After losing everything and in nakedness, God is with us. In danger, God is with us. In a battle with a sword, God is with us.
Nothing can separate us from the love of God. We are MORE THAN CONQUERORS because no matter what we might go through in life, we can guarantee that God’s overwhelming love will never forsake us.
Saints, you can ALWAYS be confident of one thing – GOD WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. Nothing in this world has the power to prevent God from loving you. And with His undying love, you can keep going, and you can keep pressing forward until you overcome your circumstances.
