Happy Tuesday Saints.
1Samuel 16:7 “THE LORD DOESN’T SEE THINGS THE WAY YOU SEE THEM. PEOPLE JUDGE BY OUTWARD APPEARANCES, BUT THE LORD LOOKS AT THE HEART.”
If there is one thing that you cannot see in the photos that are posted on social media, it’s the heart of those who are posting.
It’s unfortunate that many of us still haven’t learned to see things the way God does. We allow heavily edited and unrealistic social media posts to make us feel inadequate, dissatisfied, and depressed.
We allow ourselves to be constantly flooded with the highlights of other people’s lives; even those we don’t know.
Studies show that social media has caused many to suffer anxiety and depression, as well as low self-esteem and poor body image.
We weren’t created to get our confidence and security from something so fabricated and unrealistic.
God created us for so much more. Our Self worth should be seen through the eyes of God and not through those on social media.
Jeremiah 17:7 says, “BLESSED IS THE ONE WHO TRUSTS IN THE LORD, WHOSE CONFIDENCE IS IN HIM.”
Don’t trust what you see on your screen or place your confidence in the deceptive and misleading posts of others. Use wisdom and see things the way God does. Let His Word feed your faith and your confidence in Him today.
Don’t be so focused on other people’s lives that you forget about how wonderful God can make your own.
Have a wonderful day. God bless, and lots’a love,
Warren
