Proverbs 1:33
“WHOEVER LISTENS TO ME WILL LIVE SECURELY AND BE UNDISTURBED BY THE DREAD OF DANGER.”
Happy Wednesday Saints.
The note on the side of my Study Bible says that “The Hebrew word translated ‘SECURELY’ generally involves false security if the object of trust is not God.”
These uncertain times will test our faith. While we are in Lockdown, we will discover whether our faith is in God, ourselves, or something else. To have faith in anything or anyone else in place of God will only give us “false security.”
Proverbs 28:26 says “THE ONE WHO TRUSTS IN HIMSELF IS A FOOL, BUT THE ONE WHO WALKS IN WISDOM WILL BE SAFE.”
If we listen to the Lord and walk in the wisdom of His Word, we “will be safe” and “undisturbed by the dread of danger.”
The threat of the Delta Variant is real. But we can still “LIVE SECURELY” in the midst of it.
Our faith in God is reflected by our willingness to listen to Him and obey His Word. And our obedience to His Word is the key to our safety and security.
Who or what are you placing your trust in? If you don’t feel safe and secure then you may want to examine where your faith is placed.
God loves you and He offers safety and security to all who trust Him. For all those who won’t put their trust in God, Proverbs 1:31 says that they shall “EAT THE FRUITS OF THEIR OWN WAY, AND SHALL BE FILLED WITH THEIR OWN UNGODLINESS.”
Choose God. Choose love. Choose life. Choose to walk in His higher ways and be “UNDISTURBED BY THE DREAD OF DANGER.”
Have a safe and secure day with the Lord. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
