Happy Wednesday Saints.
In John 8:49&50 Jesus said, “I HONOUR MY FATHER… I DO NOT SEEK MY OWN GLORY.”
What an awesome example Jesus is to all of us. The Bible commands us to have the same mindset and to think like Him.
Proverbs 25:27 spells it out loud and clear; “TO SEEK ONE’S OWN GLORY IS NOT GLORY.”
Philippians 2:3 says to “LET NOTHING BE DONE THROUGH STRIFE OR VAINGLORY.”
As Christians, our motivation for everything that we say and do should be love. And true love is not self-seeking or self-promoting.
Seeking our own glory pollutes all our efforts. It tarnishes everything that we do.
When your heart and your motives are right, then the only One you are seeking to please and glorify is God.
It’s only when we live to honour God that we experience life at its fullest. When we live for His glory, we operate at the highest level of existence and finally walk in the fullness of all that He created us to be.
Be phenomenal and live to honour God today. Make it a glorious one for His Name’s sake and you’ll be blessed.
