Apia, Samoa – Tuesday, 2nd November 2021: Digicel Samoa have launched a massive Christmas campaign that will see the Grand Prize of a pimped up Ford Ranger truck to be won by one lucky customer.

In keeping with the spirit of the holiday season, the country’s only digital operator is celebrating a joyful Christmas with the theme ‘Christmas Reconnected’.

After a year that has been spent in global lockdown and away from loved ones because of the pandemic, this campaign is all about bringing the family back together. We’re emerging from a difficult time and it’s time we got families re-connected in real life.

Digicel Samoa CEO, Deepak Khanna, said; “365 days a year, we connect our customers with friends and family around the entire world with cutting-edge network and products.

“This Christmas all customers that buy a top up for $10 tala or more go into the draw to win a pimped Ford Ranger which is a customised truck with improved modifications on the exterior body. The $150,000 valued super-hot looking truck will be owned by a lucky Digicel customer on January 9. That’ll be the best gift you could give your aiga this festive season.”

“We have upgraded the 2021 Ford Ranger by custom building it and giving it a never seen before look. We have added mud tyres and lifted the height of the truck which gives it a very dramatic look. We have also added accessories like sports bar, front bull bar, side steps and amped up the sound system. The front lights have also been upgraded. The Ranger looks sportier than before with the addition of racing stripes that run from the front to the back of the truck,” added Deepak.

There are thousands worth more prizes up for grabs in Top up and Shake promotions. Customers will go into the draw to win 15 PlayStations, one per week (10 PlayStation 4 & 5 PlayStation). To boost your entertainment hunger, there are 20 Smart TV’s to giveaway, two per week (10 Smart TV 40inch & 10 Smart TV 43inch).

Other prizes in the Christmas promotion includes cash plus shopping vouchers, Christmas hampers, washing machines, Samsung tablets and DL3 Pro mobile phones.

“COVID-19 has undeniably changed the world and how we had to spend Christmas last year, connecting via digital media. This year most of us have been shut at home and missed meeting family and friends with borders closed. It’s time to have that hug with grandparents, play a game of touch rugby with your cousins and share that lovo meal for Christmas lunch.”

“We would like to sincerely thank our customers for their unwavering support and wish them all a very special and happy Christmas this year with their aiga and loved ones,” concluded Deepak.

The Christmas promotion was launched on November 1 and ends on January 9, 2022.
