#PublicNotice from the National University of Samoa.

Due to the current Measles epidemic and given that we have had a couple of students who have contracted measles who came to campus and were immediately sent home. The Management and Council of the National University of Samoa wishes to inform the public as follows:

• The 2019 Foundation Graduation Ceremony (scheduled for 11 December 2019) is CANCELLED.

• The 2019 TVET Graduation Ceremony (scheduled for 18 December 2019) is POSTPONED to April 2020.

All successful Foundation students will be informed in the next few weeks on how to collect their Foundation Certificates. In addition, all Foundation students who have already paid their application fee to graduate will be given a full refund. Successful TVET students will pay their application fee to graduate next year.

Management & Council fully understands the importance and cultural significance of these ceremonies in the celebration of the academic achievements of our graduates. However, given the seriousness of the current measles health crisis, taking precautionary measures to contain the spread of measles which ultimately save lives is the responsible thing to do.

Management and Council also wish to reassure parents and students that this decision focuses only on the graduation ceremonies and does not affect in anyway the normal process for results approval and results ranking for scholarship purposes.
