Psalm 73:28 “IT IS GOOD FOR ME TO DRAW NEAR TO GOD.”
Yesterday, we looked at starting each day with the Lord. Something that is within your own control. Drawing near to God is a choice. When, how long, and how often you do, are up to you. You are as close to God as you want to be.
In line with this, you have as much peace as you want to have. Isaiah 26:3 says, “YOU WILL KEEP HIM IN PERFECT PEACE, WHOSE MIND IS STAYED ON YOU, BECAUSE HE TRUSTS IN YOU.”
Peace is not the result of perfect conditions; after all, we live in an imperfect world. But if our minds are fixated on our problems, we will quickly lose our peace.
According to Isaiah, “PERFECT PEACE” is possible. And it’s the result of keeping our minds focused on God. There isn’t anything you’re going through that God can’t help you with.
He is our refuge, our strength, our counsellor, our comforter, our helper, our saviour, our healer, our teacher, our love, our life, and our peace – He’s the great I AM.
And no matter what you’re going through, He is greater. According to Jeremiah 32:17, “NOTHING IS TOO HARD” for God.
It is ALWAYS good to draw near to God. It’s ALWAYS good to get our eyes off our problems and focus our attention on God, who is a very present help in our times of trouble.
When your mind is at ease, and you’ve got PERFECT PEACE amid the chaos – that’s when you’ll find answers and get what you need from God.
You may not be able to control the unrest in the world around you, but you can control how much peace you have inside your own heart.
Draw close to God today and let His peace flood your heart, settle your mind, steady your emotions, and give you calm confidence that you can conquer whatever comes your way.
