Happy Tuesday Saints.
Ephesians 2:8-10 “FOR IT IS BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED, THROUGH FAITH – AND THIS IS NOT FROM YOURSELVES, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD – NOT BY WORKS SO THAT NO ONE CAN BOAST. FOR WE ARE GOD’S HANDIWORK, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS TO DO GOOD WORKS, WHICH GOD PREPARED IN ADVANCE FOR US TO DO.”
Notice that the “GOOD WORKS” come after you’ve been “CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS.” Not before.
Jesus said in John 15:5 “I AM THE VINE; YOU ARE THE BRANCHES. IF YOU REMAIN IN ME AND I IN YOU, YOU WILL BEAR MUCH FRUIT; APART FROM ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING.”
We cannot do “GOOD WORKS” or “BEAR MUCH FRUIT” without God. So, why do we expect sinners to “STOP SINNING” without having a relationship with the Lord?
In John 8:1-11 the “TEACHERS OF THE LAW AND THE PHARISEES” brought a woman who was “CAUGHT IN THE ACT OF ADULTERY” before Jesus. Wondering what He would do with the sinner, Jesus said to the “TEACHERS OF THE LAW AND THE PHARISEES,” “LET ANYONE OF YOU WHO IS WITHOUT SIN BE THE FIRST TO THROW A STONE.” Knowing that none of them was WITHOUT SIN, they all walked away.
Jesus asked the woman “HAS NO ONE CONDEMNED YOU?” And after she acknowledged that no one did, Jesus said “NEITHER DO I CONDEMN YOU, GO NOW AND LEAVE YOUR LIFE OF SIN.”
She stood before a sinless, righteous judge and instead of condemnation, He offered grace.
She had an encounter with the Son of God. And like Ephesians 1:8-10 her “GOOD WORKS” can now begin after coming face to face with her Lord and Saviour.
Are you looking for fruits of righteousness from people who are disconnected from “THE VINE?”
Don’t share the law with stones in your hand. Share the gospel with God’s love and grace. Introduce people to Christ and let His amazing grace transform their lives.
Have a wonderful day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
