19 Oct 2020 Press Release Manusina XV The Oceania Rugby Women’s World Cup Repechage Qualifier between Samoa and Tonga has been confirmed to be hosted by New Zealand Rugby at the Trusts Arena in Waitakere Auckland, on the 14th of November 2020.

The match is part of a triple header including New Zealand Defence Services and Police New Zealand Black Ferns and Barbarians fixtures.

The proposed match schedule and time for the World Cup Repechage Qualifier will be at 3:05pm (Samoa Time) on Saturday, 14th November 2020.

Oceania Rugby General Manager Bruce Cook said that Oceania Rugby is delighted about the resumption of the match.

“We are grateful to the New Zealand Rugby Union in hosting the much-anticipated qualification match for Tonga and Samoa, and we are looking forward to a great game,” Cook said.

“It should be an exciting feature as both teams are very determined to make it through the next round of Rugby World Cup qualification,” he added.

The winner of the Oceania Rugby Women’s World Cup Repechage Qualifier on Saturday 14th November between Samoa and Tonga will qualify for the 2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup Repechage Tournament scheduled for 2021 (date to be confirmed by World Rugby).

Oceania Rugby Competitions Manager Wayne Schuster said that the organization is looking forward to work with New Zealand rugby in facilitating the key match which has been greatly anticipated from both unions.
