Samoa Police, Prisons & Corrections Services Commissioner Auapa’au Logoitino Filipo, Deputy Commissioner Papali’i Monalisa Tiai-Keti and three other SPPCS members are in New Zealand this week by invitation of the New Zealand Commissioner of Police, Andrew Coaster.
Samoa Police Commissioner Auapa’au will be looking to discuss opportunities to receive support for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2024 in Apia.
Samoa’s preparedness for international events such as the hosting of CHOGM 2024.
Discussions will also include the 2019 Structure Review Report of the Samoa Police, which was developed with assistance from NZPOL.
The SPPCS delegation will also be visiting the NZ Royal Police College to observe aspects of New Zealand Police recruitment and training.
The collaboration will include dialogue and direction for NZPOL’s future support to Samoa.
