Samoans who receive international remittances are able to use their MyCash wallet to shop for groceries and other goods with contactless QR payment, pay bills safely from the comfort of their home, send money to other members of the
family and even buy Top Up to stay connected.”
“We have seen a shift in behaviour of our customers who are now using MyCash more frequently and we look forward to providing them with more options in the coming months,” added Deepak.
Head of Digicel Mobile Financial Services, Anup Kumar, said the addition of MoneyGram International to current international remittance partners is a boost for the company.
“We are continuing to establish key partnerships to make this service even better for Samoans as loved ones overseas who want to just send money home to surprise families with a special Sunday lunch, contribute for an event or even just pitching in for the monthly shopping.”
“Sending Cash to South Pacific has never been easier thanks to our new expanded sending options. Our partnership with PRISM Group enables direct cash transfers into Digicel MyCash Mobile Wallets in Samoa from renowned international partners.”
